LOS ANGELES — ASACP will return to Amsterdam for the annual Webmaster Access industry conference, set for September 17-19, at the Hilton Doubletree Hotel.
Webmaster Access is celebrating its 15th anniversary this year, attracting loyal attendees along with new faces. Among the various scheduled participants are website owners, publishers and affiliates, media and marketing specialists, content providers and producers, mobile service providers, software solution companies, design services, billing, and e-payment providers and more.
"The promoters of Webmaster Access graciously provided ASACP with free registration for this popular event, along with sponsor banner placement, a table at the Meet Market, and an ad in the show guide, for which we are grateful," a rep said.
ASACP Executive Director Tim Henning returns to this year’s event, thanks to the support of the association’s Official Travel Sponsor, DialXS, to educate site owners and other stakeholders about how they can protect their companies while protecting children on the internet and how ASACP services such as the Restricted To Adults (RTA) website meta-label, Best Practices and its Code of Ethics help to enable this endeavor.
“Webmaster Access attracts adult website operators and their affiliates from across the globe,” Henning explained. “These events draw many professionals that may not travel to U.S.-hosted events, providing the Association with a great opportunity for reaching the widest audience possible with our message of child protection and corporate responsibility.”
As a cornerstone of his outreach, at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 18, in the venue’s London 1 and 2 rooms, Henning will take part in a “Meet the Experts” session entitled “The Fixers,” where he will provide the most up-to-date information about age verification and child protection for adult sites and reveal how attendees can prepare their business for the market’s new reality.
“From the U.K.’s Digital Economy Act to similar efforts around the world and corporate policy changes on top of it all, adult websites requiring age-verification solutions is the coming reality, but not the only challenges to face the industry,” Henning explained. “The need to protect children and ‘doing the right thing’ is a message that ASACP will carry across Europe, including at Webmaster Access in Amsterdam.”
